Clayton (he/him) brings a diverse background to his work at Friendship House. A Certified Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counselor through CCAPP, he has worked in the field for over five years. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School, and has been an advocate for low-income tenants facing eviction.
Clayton's variety of knowledge includes service as a veterinary technician. From 2019-2022, he held a position on the Diversion Evaluation Committee for the California Veterinary Medical Board, contributing to the rehabilitation of veterinarians struggling with substance misuse issues and facing licensure challenges.
Furthermore, as an alumnus of Friendship House and an enrolled member of The Klamath Tribes, Clayton’s connection extends beyond a mere professional association. His affiliation is acutely personal, shaping his empathetic conception of recovery and community. His personal connection serves as inspiration behind his commitment to upholding the mission and values of The Friendship House.
